PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE EXPERIENCE:
Family Practice:  2 years residency training (12 months FP rotating internship, 12 months orthopedic surgery transitional year), 15 years in Private Practice, full spectrum Family Practice with OB (until 3-15-95 then discontinued OB).  Board Certified AOAFP 12-6-1996.  Amarillo District Delegate to Texas Osteopathic Medical Assciation (TOMA).  Clinical Associate Professor, University of North Texas Medical School (TOMA), Family Practice Department, 1993-present.  Appointed as honorary co-chairman of the National Congressional Physician’s Advisory Council, April 2001-2004.
Sports Medicine:  Residency Training 14 months (includes 2 months of professional sports medicine training; 1 month with Dr. Colon Henry Ford General Hospital, with Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers, 1 month with team physician Philadelphia Eagles, 12 months orthopedic surgery residency and rehabilitation at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, TX.).  2 years OJT orthopedic surgery at Darnell Army Community Hospital, Ft. Hood TX.  Team Sports Medicine 14 years total; 2 years Certified Team USA Boxing, Wrestling, Basketball, 4 years US Army, 12 years High School, & 7 years Community College School Team, Physician. Emergency Medicine:  >3500 hours, to include 3 months of residency training, 2 years Chief of EMS BAMC, Ft. Wainwright, AK.  Worked ER Staff Physician, HRMC, Hereford, TX, 4 years.  Advanced Trauma Life Support  (ATLS) instructor, Advance Cardiac Life Support Instructor (ACLS) instructor, BTLS National Affiliate Faculty - instructor, PALS certified.  Director Paramedic training program HRMC.
